Bible Museum
Archaeological founds, objects from old Egypt, century old models of the temple of Salomo and Herodes, religious objects from Jewish and Christian traditions and even scents are used to let the visitor of the Bible Museum get acquainted with stories from the bible. You can see the well known 19th century model of the Tabernacle, an amazing reconstruction of the portable sanctuary that the Israelites built in the dessert under the leadership of Moses. At the model of the Temple Mount it becomes clear what this place in Jerusalem means to the Jews, Christians and Muslims. Clay tablets, papyrus and archaeological pieces tell the fascinating history of the bible, but also the century long influence of the bible on the Dutch society is shown.
