Sleep in Amsterdam

With over 6000 rentable beds you suspect that the city has enough room for her (inter) national tourist. Nothing is less true. In recent years the city has worked hard to create more sleeping space, both in the top category (5 stars) and in the lowest segment (dormitories with bunk beds). The advice is anyway: book your bed in advance! Especially in high season - from April to September, the city is run over with tourists (sometimes already stoned) trying to get a bed in a regular and expensive but end up in a poor hotel chain. Although the good reputation in the high segment maintains, the average hotels and hostels are quite lousy. This is probably why the bed and breakfast and holiday apartments in recent years are gaining popularity.
