The award winning permanent exhibition by the Historic Newspaper is about the Dutch resistance against the occupation by Nazi Germany from 1940 till 1945. The museum also has a section about Dutch East Indies.
The Verzetsmuseum manages and presents a collection of authentic materials from the everyday life and the resistance during the Second World War in The Netherlands and in the former Dutch East Indies, Suriname, and the Netherlands Antilles.

i found the section about the colonies of the Netherlands impressive. Because they show you how cruel the dutch people could be. You do not find such a museum here in the states where we we Americans show how cruel we were. Take that as a example.
